1.用作狀語(yǔ)
介詞短語(yǔ)表示時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)、方式和原因等。如：
Class begins at half past seven. (時(shí)間) 7時(shí)半開(kāi)始上課。
His parents work on a farm. (地點(diǎn)) 他父母在農(nóng)場(chǎng)工作。

2. 用作定語(yǔ)

12) into(在……里)：come into the classroom 進(jìn)入教室，fall into the water 掉進(jìn)水里
13)in(在……內(nèi)，用，戴)：in English 用英語(yǔ)，in a hat 戴帽子，in front of 在……前面，in line 排成一行，in the end 最后，in the open air 在野外，in a minute立刻，in surprise 驚奇地，in time及時(shí)，in trouble 處在困難中。
14)from(從)：from Monday to Friday 從星期一到星期五，from now on 從今以后。
15)for (為，給)：buy some food for lunch 買些午餐的食物，for example 例如，for long 長(zhǎng)久。
16) except(除……之外)：everyone except Lin Tao 除林濤之外的每個(gè)人，every day except Sunday 除星期天之外的每天。

23)with ( 用，和，帶著)：go to school with a bag帶書(shū)包上學(xué)，see with one’s eyes 用眼睛看，with one’s help 在某人的幫助下，with pleasure 高興。
24)without(沒(méi)有)：go out without a coat 沒(méi)穿上衣服就走出去。
25)until=till (直到……為止)：stay in bed until tomorrow 臥床直到明天，wait until ten o’ clock 等到10點(diǎn)鐘為止。
26)under(在……下面)：under the desk 在書(shū)桌下，under the tree 在樹(shù)下

28)through(通過(guò)，穿過(guò))：walk through the gate 走過(guò)大門。
29)since (自從)：since1995 自從1995年以來(lái)。
30)round=around(在……周圍)：sit round the table 圍著桌子坐，round the world 遍及全世界。
31)over( 超過(guò)，多于)：over two years 兩年多
32)outside (在……之外)：outside of gate 在大門外。
33)on(在、關(guān)于)：on one’s way home 回家路上， on duty 值日，on foot 步行，on top of 在……上面。on the earth 在地球上。
