　　Subject: Proposal to link savings account to a fixed deposit account

　　Respected Mr. Burton,

　　This is to bring to your notice that I would like to request you to link my existing savings account to a new fixed deposit account. My savings account number is 3489765.

　　I have a savings account in your bank since last three years which I had opened in a different city in New York. So my actual banking branch is New York. I am aware that your bank gives facilities like opening fixed deposit account linked to a savings account. I would like to open such an account. But I am aware that I have to get it done from my actual branch.

　　I have moved to this city six months back due to work purpose and it is impossible for me to go to New York to do the banking formalities. It would be great if you could transfer my account with your branch and open the fixed deposit account.

　　I am enclosing a cancelled check and a photocopy of my id proof.
